This summer, NCCARE360 officially launched in Guilford, Alamance, and Rockingham counties! To celebrate, we hosted a launch party on June 3rd for our partners and supporters.
Speakers included Anne Thomas, President/CEO, Foundation for Health Leadership & Innovation; Laura Marx, President/CEO, United Way of North Carolina; Betsey Tilson, State Health Director & the Chief Medical Officer, DHHS; Mandy Cohen, Secretary, DHHS; and Morgan Forrester, Community Engagement Manager, Unite Us.
The launch party also featured testimonials from two partners; Jackie Lucas, Executive Director, The Salvation Army of Greensboro and Kathy Colville; Director of Healthy Communities, Cone Health. Community partners are leading the way as we grow the network, and their support is crucial for this process. Before NCCARE360, the health and human services landscape was fragmented. As Kathy shared during the event, “This tool works because we are humans connected to each other.”
Secretary Cohen helped emphasize this spirit of connectivity, sharing that “we are knitting together the resources we have across this state…We’re going to teach the country how to get it done.”
Our June 3rd launch was such an inspirational afternoon, as the room was filled with optimism. Thank you to all the launch party attendees and NCCARE360 supporters! As we continue working towards nationwide coverage by 2020, this event captured the determination and drive of NCCARE360.
